I will advance "madden" weeks approximately 2-3 times in a 7-day week, depending how long or how quick the games for that week are played. There will be a 72 hour deadline for completing games (example: if Week advances on Monday at 10:00PM, you will have until Thursday at 10:00PM to play your game). Owners who do not give commishes a reason why their games are not played at deadline will be booted. STAY ACTIVE AND COMMUNICATE WITH THE COMMISHES!!
MEMBER REQUIREMENTS:
To be a member of the Full Access Fantasy league, you must meet the following requirements:
A) Be willing/able to check the forums at least once every two days.
B) Sign onto Xbox live at least once a day.
B) Be a "sim-style" player. We all should know what sim-style means. I consider "sim-style" to be a style of play geared towards what you would see in the NFL on Sunday.
OFFENSE
Running Up Score - DO NOT RUN UP THE SCORE!! There is nothing more frustrating and annoying than an opponent who is still passing after the game has been decided. This is a major reason why people quit, SO DO NOT BE THAT GUY!! Here are guidelines for blowouts:
It is a blowout if you are up 21 in the fourth quarter. At this point, DO NOT PASS THE BALL ANYMORE! Run 3 times and punt. Do your best to keep the clock moving and end the game quickly and painlessly. If they score and pull it to within 21, you may pass again.
Play Calling- Being that this is a "sim-style" league, it is imperative that you mix up your play calling. It is not considered "sim" by the league's standards to run the same play repeatedly. I would like you to mix up the amount of passing plays you choose with the amount of running plays you choose. I would like to see at least 12 running plays from your half back/full back, and no more than 40 pass attempts from your quarterbacks.
Rocket Catching and Motion Glitching is NOT ALLOWED. To be safe you should not snap while man is still in motion, a lot of the time the CPU AI will not pick it up in time especially if you are quick snapping.
Goal Line Formation- Formations with 0 wide receivers are allowed in the following situations:
A) 3rd OR 4th down and 2 yards or less to go
B) Anytime inside the 10 yard line
4th Downs- You are allowed to "go for it" on 4th downs in the following situations:
A) Anytime when trailing in the 4th quarter
B) Anytime when losing by 21 or more points
C) 4th and 1 or inches Within 2mins of Half or 4th Quarter.
In all other 4th down situations, you must either punt or kick a field goal.
Quarterback Play- You must use a realistic play style when controlling the quarterback. Do not roll out of the pocket on every play or run backwards with your QB after the snap. Part of being a quarterback is pocket passing. Try to limit excess scrambling to when the pocket breaks down or if you are in desperate need of a few yards by running with your quarterback.
No Huddle- You can run the no huddle offense in the following situations:
A) Inside the 2 minute warning of each half
B) Inside of 5 minutes left in the game when trailing by more than 8 points
DEFENSE
Play Calling- Obviously, I have no way to directly monitor your defesnsive play calling. However, I do ask that you mix up you play calling, just like with offense. Call some man to man coverage defenses along with whatever zone packages you call. Also, try to avoid blitzing on every play of the game. This does not make it fun for either player.
Goal Line Defense- The goal line defense can be called in the same situations as the goal line offense. Those are:
A) 3rd OR 4th down and 2 yards or less to go
B) Anytime inside the 10 yard line
Nano Blitzing and Defensive Player Control- This is a sim-style league. Obviously, there will be no toleration of nano-blitzing or of anyone taking advantage of the glitches in Madden's AI system that allow defensive players to come through the line untouched over and over again.
1.) You may NOT manually position your defensive players before each snap.
- You may only use the predetermined line, linebacker, or defensive back shifts that are used in Madden. No lining up your linebackers in the A and B gaps of the line! This is how nano-blitzing begins.
2. If you are manually moving your defensive player pre-snap, then you must user-control that player when the QB snaps the ball. You can obviously move your user-control to another player after the snap though (in order to make user-tackles and user-picks).
3.) You cannot manually move your defensive lineman off the line of scrimmage before the snap of the ball. For example: Manually moving your DE into pass coverage or shifting him far down the line of scrimmage (towards the WR's) where he may get a better angle for getting by the tackle and into the backfield. If you want to control a DE or DT at the snap of the ball, then you must keep him in his designated position or use the line shift maneuvers (D-Pad) to relocate him.
SPECIAL TEAMS
2-Point Conversions- You are permitted to "go for two" when the current score and situation dictates it. Only go for two if it is necessary to the game you are playing. This is not a very exact rule, obviously. I trust you guys to make the most fair and reasonable decisions possible.
Onside Kicks- Onside kicks are only allowed in the fourth quarter when the current score and situation dictates it.
Fake Punts/Field Goals- You may attempt ONE fake field goal or ONE fake punt per game. To be clear, that is only ONE fake play per game. But again, please only use them if you absolutely have to. Not when you are up by a touchdown and just want to see if your opponent falls for it.
Squib Kicking- You are allowed ONE squib kick per game. Guys drafted kick returners for a reason, to return kicks!
CONFLICTS/DISCONNECTIONS:
In-Game Conflicts- If you feel like your opponent is in violation of any gameplay rules, pause the game and address your concern with your opponent over the headset. Be sure to be respectful during the discussion surrounding the issue. Often times, a player may be breaking a league rule without even realizing it. Do your best to resolve the situation prior to continuing the game. I will keep track of all complaints made towards league members. If owners repeatedly break league rules or show disrespect to opponents or the league in general, they will be removed.
Forum Conduct- The forums are not the place to call out other league members regarding their play style, demeanor during games, etc. All conflicts should be handled behind the scenes through private messages between league owners and the commissioner.
Lag- League games that experience significant lag should be restarted immediately. When lag exists, the two players involved in the game should talk over the headset and make a determination whether to restart or play through it.
Disconnects- If one of the players disconnects from a game, immediately attempt to contact that person via party or private chat, before making a decision on whether to Continue vs. Cpu or quit or restart the game with your opponent.
If they ignore your attempt to contact them, and you feel they quit the game on purpose, feel free to continue the game vs. CPU.
TRADING
You can enact as many trades as you want. This is a fantasy draft franchise, so trading shouldn't be that common, because most of you will draft the players you want.
However, you must first post the agreed trade proposal in the "Proposed Trades" forum. Me, and two other members of the league, will vote on the trade. I don't want random bonehead trades to go through, because if one of the members of the trade decide to leave franchise, finding a replacement may be more difficult.
Please agree to rules and leave your GT.
